Guy on my floor died last night...

A guy in the hall across from me drowned last night in Greenlake... that's all I know. They had a meeting this afternoon for the floor, his family is coming later today... It's still unreal to me.

It hasn't hit me yet... he was a really nice guy, too. Always smiled and said hi, or nodded when he saw you... active, too.

It's hard to imagine what's going through my RAs' heads right now.... it's so tough. There wasn't any alcohol involved, he knew how to swim... it was just a freak accident, I guess.

I'm thinking that's what happened. He appeared to be physically healthy.

I think he was with a few friends... they had thought he was joking, apparently.
 
this girl i new in HS tried to commite suicide like a month ago i think she broke her back but not sure....it was kinda scary though

Wow... yeah, I don't have a TV... I don't think many people on our floor knew last night... wow.

It's so hard to lose a resident like that...I can't imagine what it must have been like for the six UW students that died last year (in a plane crash)...
 
in my senior year of high school we 2 suicides (with guns on campus), one girl got encephal;itis and had an aneurism(sp?) and two people flew off the side of a freeway onramp, 5 deaths in one year, we had a fleet of pyschatrists at the school.

Holy God... that's horrible. What h.s. did you go to (if you don't mind my asking)?
 
I lost a friend in the dorms 2 years ago, to a GHB overdose. It was hard, sorry to hear you are going through the same thing. 🙁

Thank you for your condolences... some people are taking it really hard... it'll hit me later this week, I think...

I would go with being burned alive, but drowning is pretty high on the list also.
