Yeah based on some advice from an online forum go ahead and buy the drugs, nothing to worry about. Geez.
Entrapment is very, very hard to prove. You must show that the police forced you into doing something that you would not have done on your own. However, if you have shown a history of buying weed, and readily accept his offer, then it is not entrapment. Even if you have never bought drugs before in your life, and still readily accept his offer, it is not entrapment.
Think of the prostitution stings that police run. Female cops pose as prostitues, and quote prices to potential customers. This is not entrapment as the person entered into the deal using their own free will.
So, be careful. Police can and will lie to you if they have to in order to make a bust.
I would consider it a sting since no one is forcing him to buy.
A couple years back didn't FBI agents pose as young girls in online chat rooms in an attempt to catch molesters and kiddie pornographers?
Same thing here, except with drugs, not kiddie porn.
It's a shame when the cops start going after small time users. They might as well admit they can't do anything about the dealers or the people who transport it.
ask him how he will ship it, will it be with insurance and DC.
ask him if how he packages it, will he price match other local dealers and does he accept coupons.

This is different in that they are offering it to you. When the feds pose as girls in chat rooms they cant offer themselves up for sex, they wait for the prev to come to them. The same thing with undercover cops posing as hookers. They cant outright offer you sex at a price, the perp has to offer a price for sex.
Now, whether or not its worth the hassle of trying to prove entrapment is another issue. They could claim you asked for weed in the other forum or whatever. They could also do things like call it a federal crime because it uses the postal system, and probably other BS as well, so that you are so overwhelmed that you accept a plee. Or the guy could be a legit dealer (LOL) and get busted by the feds, and you could end up on his list as a customer. If you know someone who sells weed, just buy it from them.

Why do you people act like you know what drug and the amount being sold is? If you actually knew those things than this thread might be a little different.
