Ah, yes. Much better if he were to have shot the innocent homeowner, then made a speedy getaway so he wouldn't get caught!

....

SRSLY?

Err... considering he was pulling the gun to shoot the home owner, I'd say you just failed.

If he truely was intent on murder, then I have no problem with it.

Well why else would you be pulling out a gun during a robbery?

idiot kicked in door
idiot saw owner of the house
idiot tried to pull gun that he stuck in the front of his pants because he saw it in a movie
idiot pulled trigger and shot himself
idiot droped gun and fled
idiot died

wasn't robbery

we don't know what he would have done had he successfully pulled the gun out

but if you were to take a police officer's stance on guns, its "shoot to kill", not "shoot to wound" or "flash gun to scare"

attempted murder sounds fine by me (worst case scenario)

still a Darwin WINNNNNAHHHHHHHH

He was pulling a gun, and as people like you think, guns are only used for one thing, and that is to kill people, so by your logic, he WAS going to kill the homeowner, thus he deserved to die for his actions.

I on the other hand think if the robber kicked in the door it doesn't mater if he has a gun/knife or water pistol. His "right" to life is null and void. You kick in my door and 13rnds and lead are going to meet you at the threshold.

You didn't read the article too carefully did you? That or you just suck at reading comprehension.

Greta: Mr. Reede, several years ago a friend of mine had a burglar on her roof, a burglar. He fell through the kitchen skylight, landed on a cutting board, on a butcher's knife, cutting his leg. The burglar sued my friend, he sued my friend. And because of guys like you *he won*. My friend had to pay the burglar $6,000. Is that justice?
Fletcher: No! ... I'd have got him ten!

Nice, he was his own judge jury and executioner in the case of attempted robbery w/ a deadly weapon.
