Oh give me a break.

The Wappingers Falls police report said officers were asked to "escort a member out of the club for grunting while working out...which is not conforming with the rules of the establishment."

I sure hope he was being "irate and nasty" enough to warrant this.

I think it's silly, but it's sillier that he chose to go to the gym in the first place. There are more appropriate gyms for men that want to lift heavy, and that's not a place full of people just wanting to get some casual exercise. Given that environment, I would agree that some man tossing around 500lbs of plates and grunting is out of place.

If you believe the staff he got kicked out after going into a rage when he was asked not to grunt.

Or you can believe him and he calmly left after the police were called on him for grunting.

This is obviously an establishment for beginners who don't want to be intimidated by more accomplished athletes. I think the big flashing light they have when someone grunts should've tipped him off when he signed up that he was in the wrong kind of place for his workout.

I wish my gym was 'picky'.
It says no bags allowed. Yet people have them all the time.
I wish there was a 'no smell' law. Some people really need to wash their work out clothes once in a while. Or put down the protein shake that makes their gas smell like interstate roadkill.

I didn't read the part about him being nasty at first  But it's still a bit ridiculous to have to call the cops.

heh that's pretty funny, but I do agree that the gym he went to is not meant for the people who are at his level. i mean have you all ever seen that arnold movie pumping iron? it seems like an unwritten rule to be in the gyms they are in in that movie is that you must be able to bench press 400lbs, curl 155lbs, and squat 600lbs. everyone in those gyms are huge and usually workout with their shirts off and stuff. i would feel intimidated as hell in a gym like that.

granted that is a LITTLE more extreme than this case, the guy still knew the type of place he was going to when he signed up.

if someone is getting nasty with me and won't leave damn right i will call the cops.

he read the rules. he should have went someplace else. if he wants a musclehead type of place they are dime a dozen. there are not many places for beginers or such.
