He would be the smartest man alive if he developed a way to feed gas to the tank from inside the armor plating, and stored enough gas so that he could wreak his havoc, and then cross the Rio. Of course, he probably didn't, but it would be awesome if he did.

Why a hardware store I wonder? It's full of heavy things. If he could have driven it into a fine china shop on the other hand, that would have been interesting!

A bull (dozer) in a china shop? There's too much pun potential in this story.
Well, Denver area news shows him very much stuck in a hardware store. The bulldozer is upright, but it's barely halfway into the store. The store and several other buildings are pretty torn up, and there are lots of cops armed with what looked like a combination of handguns and M-16 style weapons around him. There were two or three standing on the bulldozer apparently trying to get him out, but they weren't getting anywhere.

One of the article said he went out of his way not to hurt anyone. Everyone reads that he is on a rampage with "gun turrets" and think he's out to kill. He was only attacking buildings. I am sure he could have shot plenty of people with his "50 caliber fully automatic weapon" but he didn't.
I wonder why the cops are firing on the machine. He FLIPPED! He's not going anywhere. What are they trying to do? Kill him? He is no longer a threat.
