It must be nice to have your own private shooting range.
The joys of a rural lifestyle.

thanks for the update
Why is that nice?
Been to a shooting range lately?
On one side you have the "I just bought my first gun" guy, on the other side you have someone shooting a 300 winchester magnum.
/cues in banjo music.
I shoot in my yard all the time, ditto some of the neighbors. There's a skunk running around the neighborhood. We've all been waiting for a clean shot (no house or swimming pool beyond the target.)
Why on earth would you shoot a skunk?
Oh... you've been to the Dallas-area ranges, too, eh? 🙄
...well, between that and the Range Nazis...
Your welcome.
I have plans on building my own private shooting range this fall.
Plans are to take about a dozen cross-ties, build a 3 sided box, then fill the box full of sand. The range will only be about 100 yards. For around here that is about all you need.
Why on earth would you shoot a skunk?
Wild animals are much more likely to carry rabies, especially raccoons, skunks, bats, foxes, and coyotes.
Skunks are one of the primary carriers of rabies.

Do you want a wild animal setting up home in your barn, right next to your livestock?
so, when it's rabid, shoot it.
you're not one of those loons that goes out and indiscriminately kills snakes, then complains when rodents and other vermin suddenly swarm all over your property, are you?
I never would kill a snake just for that fact, I hate friggin rats..We have a no-discharge policy in my county in any residential area..
many places do...idiots don't get the laws.
so, when it's rabid, shoot it.
