Check your facts buddy.
Spaghetti Incident never happened.
Chinese Democracy never will happen, and even if it does, it's not GNR. Slash, Duff and Matt are all in Velvet Revolver, and Axl's voice sounds like ****** these days.
How did Spaghetti Incident not happen? Granted it wasn't well received by the masses and some critics.
Matt was always refered to as not a member of GNR but an employee.
Axl's voice hasn't been heard publicly for three years.
Spaghetti Incident was a cover album, not a real album.
CD is going to suck, but most folks will likely never know because I doubt they'll ever hear it.
I heard some of the tracks about 5 freaking years ago, assuming they're still going to be on there. Didn't sound too great to me.
Axl and whomever he has in his band that he hasn't managed to run off yet is NOT Guns n Roses.
Guns n Roses is Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Steven. West Arkeen was the unofficial "6th member" of the band, who helped with songwriting sometimes, and he's dead now so there's really no way to ever recapture the magic of the early days.
Pretty much any band can replace drummers and nobody will notice, so losing "Popcorn" Adler didn't hurt much, since he didn't write songs and Matt Sorum is a far better drummer anyway.
But losing Izzy was the death knell for their song writing. Izzy wasn't much of a guitarist, but he had a BIG hand in writing their best stuff.
The "Illusion" albums were the beginning of the end for GnR. Giving an idiot like Axl too much control has resulted in chaos. He had more control than ever on those albums, and they took forever to record and honestly, there's enough GOOD material on them to have made one really good album.
Now, Axl has complete control, and we see what's happened: Slash, Duff, and Matt are gone, he can't keep band members, and no new music, since what, 1991?
A cancelled tour, too.
I'm a HUGE Guns n Roses fan, but really, there is no GnR anymore, regardless of whether an album is eventually released under that name or not.
