They've screwed over their fans before by ditching sold out concerts and acting like spoiled children. I have nothing but contempt for a band of misfits who came together because they couldn't get through high school or hold a job at McDonalds, then fvck over the fans who made them popular because they can't drink.

Such is the typical heavy metal band.

They're a bunch of talentless hacks.

Drinking and driving I understand

Drinking and playing - got forbid no.....

I do agree with what you are saying. I myself have never heard of alcohol & on-stage pyrotechnics causing any kind of tragedy during a rock concert. But canceling a show for some ego-hassle with a Fire Marshal is lame. I remember the time Slash had cops trying to arrest him and he ran around all over the arena while playing the guitar. That was classic GnR - the whole attitude and the hard rock.

Ditching fans and disappointing them has no excuse, ever. GnR did it with walking off stage after playing three songs, Metallica did it with St. Anger. Their new line-up hardly has much of a fan following and this was stupid, any way you put it.

This the fvcking US OF A. Why the fvck is there a law so specific that a rock band cannot drink while on stage?

I think they did the right thing.

They probably made up the law just to keep this ridiculous band from "performing". Who could possibly still want to see that has-been anyway? Most other people in this world have to stop drinking long enough to go to work for a few hours...if you can't handle a single dry two-hour show in exchange for millions of dollars, then you're either a pathetic drunk or a pussy little crybaby throwing a temper tantrum. Either way, who gives a sh*t?

And to those of you feigning outrage, grow the fvck up.

Kurt Cobain abused Axl Rose.

At that moment, Guns and Roses should have walked away. Now they're just washed up has beens.

GNR is not even close to heavy metal but you're right about them sucking.

You seem to care. However; most of the time the drinking has been given up for more than a 'few hours' to get the songs written and worked out.

However; seriously if I was a performer that was driven there and out, and was told I couldn't perform because I couldn't drink something I like to drink when relaxing and legal to do so...then I'd bail too.

The fans should fight the law.
