Guns N' Roses Announce Festival Date And New Album

Guns N' Roses are set to make their festival debut of 2002 headlining the Summer Sonic festival, in Japan on 17th -18th August.

In related GN'R news, an insider at the band's management company, Sanctuary, has reported that work on the new GN'R album 'Chinese Democracy' has been completed. "An album exists," said the source, "and we expect to have it released before the end of the year. Word is that it's an awesome record."

when i heard they first were going to do this, Slash wasn't EVER a part of it.

One of the reasons I listen to GNR is because of Slash, he's my hero at the guitar.

axl is the only original member
Robin Finck (from NIN) and a Buckethead member are in the band

there is a song on the End of Days SNDTRK called "Oh My God?, its with the new band but it sucks
the sound is something like industrial metal from what I've read... still I have no idea of what to expect

Buckethead is supposed to be good..... as good as the people are in the new GNR..... slash was part of the heart and soul of gnr...it was from him that the bluesy sound was there.....i heard axl rose wanted to be an industrial rocker like NIN in the early 90s

yeesh, another concert to spend money on. I share the same concerns as everyone else, but I was never able to see them live, and I think it'd be really exciting to hear Axl wail in person.

Axl got all the glory, but Izzy and Slash were the heart of that band.

I seem to recall that GNR nearly toured sometime last year, but that the tour was cancelled because Axl's hair transplant became infected - hee hee . . . Somehow hair plugs do not fit into my idea of the rock and roll lifestyle.

just got downloading everything on KAZAA that said chinese democracy, only thing I found was some new LIVE songs... nothing from the studio yet
