They are just the only weapon related crimes the media likes to report. Look at some of the most brutal murders that have happened this year. Man kills his whole family. Stabs them to death. Mom drowns all her kids in the bathtub and so on. Why don't you ever hear about all the stabbings, and people beat to death with baseball bats and such. You wanna ban knives and baseball bats too? Somebody gets shot and dies, you wanna sue the gunmakers? Well then what about if somebody gets hit by a car and dies? You wanna sue Ford? Look at the first thing Hitler did when he gained control. He took away everyones weapons. Look what happened. Would the holocost never of happened if they had their guns, It still would of. But at least they would of been able to fight back. Same thing with Mosolini(is that spelled right?). Look what happened over there. This is supposed to be the "land of the free". It is my right as a law abidding citizen to own firearms. Don't tell me otherwise, based on the action of others who brake the law.

No,guns are not the problem. People that start endless threads about guns making others want to use said guns to end said posts are the problem.

Hey! He's merely trying to state his point and give it more exposure by starting a new thread :)

I personally agree w/ what chechi has to say - and that's basically that guns are motivated through people - they don't necessarily have the means to act themselves... and if guns are thrown out the picture, brutality can still exist. The ones that chechi have mentioned are great examples... however there are a lot, lot more ways to be creative.. :disgust:

Tell me what you think about it:

"Guns don't kill people,
people kill people."

Pretty catchy, eh??

This is one of the best responses of all time. It is a portion of a National Public Radio interview between a female broadcaster & US Army General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base today?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why. They'll be properly supervised on the rifle range and instructed in firearm safety.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers!

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

<< "Guns don't kill people,

It'd be a lot more effective if you used a hypen instead of a comma to show an enthrusted emphasis

Guns don't kill people - People kill people :)
