http://www.gallup.com/poll/160223/men-married-southerners-likely-gun-owners.aspx

Men are three times more likely to own guns than women, and "gender is by far the strongest predictor of personally owning a gun".

Having problems reading today, I see.

That really has nothing to do with my statement. Reading problems indeed;)

So who's buying these guns? According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation and NBC news, women are the fastest growing demographic of gun owners.

You have yet to disprove his claims.

Either way we have many more guns in the country now than in the 1970s yet proportionally fewer people carrying them around.

This seems unlikely, given the enormous increase in "right to carry" changes to law across the country in the last 20 years. Admittedly it'd be hard to measure, since you'd be looking at the number of people illegally carrying guns in the 1970s versus the number of people legally carrying guns today (usually around 1% of the population.)

"Fastest growing group of new gun purchasers" != "largest group of new gun purchasers".

I've done a lot more to disprove his claims, than he has to prove them :whiste:

I'll take the blame for this one:( I re read my original post, I worded it wrong. Sorry. I meant fastest growing group of new gun purchasers.

My point still stands, more women are buying guns therefor saying that the number of households with guns lowering due to more single women doesn't make sense.
