Gun sales continuing to skyrocket through 2013

I find it incredibly interesting that gun sales tend to boom right after a gun grabber event.

Isn't it ironic that the the gun grabbers trying to enact restrictions are a huge part of what fuels gun sales, which results in even more push for pro-gun rights?

Last year we had zimmerman and sandy hook as the main "we need to take the guns" campaigns, both of which directly resulted in even stronger sales.

Yea, it makes you all look like a bunch of idiots driving the prices up on your favorite toys, because the people that make them know you are the biggest chumps in the world. And they,ve done a really good job of feeding your fears of all the gun grabin that's NOT HAPPENING.

I would have to say that skyrocketing gun sales mostly make the gun nuts look unhinged to me.

LOL I don't believe many gun owners care about a trivial 10-20% increase in price on something they buy once every couple years. Plus many gun owners seem to be pretty logical and capable of understanding a supply/demand market.

How about 'attempted" gun grabbing... This is what happens the gun grabbers push such idiotic measures as magazine limits, pistol restrictions, and all the other uncompromising BS we've seen over the last few years. When you all refuse to compromise, you get nothing. Well, except booming gun sales....

Just think of what the state of the economy would be without the influence of gun sales. It more than likely has an even bigger positive influence on the economy than unemployment and food stamps combined. Thanks Obama!

You mean aside from the New York SAFE act which is still largely in effect, and the California attempt to ban all rifles that use magazines that was only shot down by a surprise gubernatorial veto, and New York City confiscating or ejecting any long gun (even bolt-action .22s) that hold more than five rounds?

You had the "slippery slope fallacy" argument right up until last year; then your side went and proved the slippery slope quite directly. Gun control advocates want to confiscate/ban guns either directly or bureaucratically, plain and simple. Or at least their lobbyists and elected representatives do.

The sole reasons gun grabbing isn't happening are the influence of the NRA and other pro-gun advocates and fortunate timing (a lot of Democrats from pro-gun states up for reelection this year). If it were up to liberal politicians there would be no right to self to defense of any nature with a firearm.

FYI: The people you're defending are currently appealing a decision by a federal judge that struck down a "you can only have 7 rounds loaded in a 10 round magazine" stipulation of the New York SAFE act.

I don't think iPhone owners buy more iPhones every time a new competing phone comes out;) they certainly don't buy them out of spite.
Nah, they just buy a new one every time they're instructed to by Apple's mind control devices. ;)

Let me know when there are periodic attempts to ban iPhones on the grounds that a half-dozen teenagers text 500 times a day.

Well we should probably limit texting, 20 texts per day. Every knows that capacity is to blame here.

These gun grabber people are so afraid, I don't really get it. They literally live in fear than some law-abiding gun owner is going to cause some problem with 10rds versus 6. Sad.

Lol! They live in fear? I don't think the wanting of ending people needlessly dying at the hands of guns is based on fear. It's no different than those that want to end the suffering one goes through when they get breast cancer that could have been prevented by early detection.

However, I'd say that buying guns because you think the government is going to take your guns is entirely fear based!

That said, I don't think people who support pro gun movements do so out of fear (they, like a lot of movements, use fear to push their agenda though).

Actually, you'd be wrong about that, 10 - 20% increase? Try 100-200% ... for ammunition. You kinda need ammo to use your guns, and you don't buy them 'once every couple years'. Apparently, even non-gun owners are buying up all the ammo increasing the prices even more and screwing gun owners by gouging them. The gun boom has actually hurt gun owners and they're complaining about not even being able to buy ammo. Funny thing is, electing a democrat is sort of a way to control gun sales because the prices skyrocket so much, just look at all the rednecks complaining about how they can't buy ammo anymore LMAO:

<snip>

Well, the comment I replied to was about guns specifically.

And, for the semi casual shooter a 200% is not that big of a deal. If you're going through 200-300 rounds per month you're talking $200 or so per year. Trivial. And, prices have come way down over the last year.

Read some of the links, many gun owners can't even BUY ammo, that's how bad the shortage is.

Also, i remember after Obama's first inauguration, price of glocks doubled and there were shortages of all types of guns everywhere, gun prices are definitely much higher under a democratic president.

I have no problem of finding 9 mm and .223/5.56 ammo, online and local stores.

.22LR is another matter and when they are in stock, only able to buy 2 small boxes (50 rounds each) for a total of 100 per person per day.
