Thats amazing. These are worth alot to collectors. Would make sense to sell them or trade them for more modern weapons. Makes me wonder how, if at all, WWII would have changed had the Nazis had 5000 more Sturmgewehrs.

WWII was a manpower issue, not a gun issue. Germany stretched itself too thin with Barbarossa.

that, but the stg44 was an amazing gun for its time. It might affect certain battles but the war was lost the minute hitler decided to attack russia.

    Old news is old.

Ammo for the 8mm Kurz is expensive and hardish to find.

STG44s were initially turned down by Hitler because he was so devoted to the K98K and only wanted more Machine Pistols.

I can't blame him though, I love my K98s....but I would kill for an MG34.

those probably arent genuine era stg44. most likely reproductions. back in the 80's when the afghans were fighting the russians, there was a huge homegrown gun industry that made weapons and ammo. they could and did reproduce all kinds of makes and models including ww2 era arms. pretty impressive given they had no cad/cam and only primitive milling and basic die stamping.

What would have changed would have been Allied casualty rates, which would have gone up exponentially.

We had the numbers, though, we still would've prevailed.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those, even though the ammo is hard to find/expensive.

The StG44 .22LR that came out recently also looks frickin badass.

Agreed , If germany had won the war it would be interesting to see if the world would be a better place today. It couldn't be much worse. I seen a commercial the other dat asking for donations for holcust victems . Man there can't be many there all in their 80s and 90s . What this was a genecide according to the propaganda. So there just cann't be that many unless it was lies . To establish a jewish state that had already been arranged between the Britts and De Rothschild befor wwI. I know giving the jews the holy city was a massive mistake that MAYBE leads to world destruction . Not long to find out time.

If Germany held out longer, Berlin might have gotten nuked instead of Japan. Maybe they would have held the Russians off longer and let the western front collapse.

These go about for $10K, so that would be $50 million for this find. Since these are before the AR ban in the states, collectors would be allowed to buy and hold these.

    In the United States.

It would take a huge chunk of that $50 million to get these rifles into the United States and legal for sale to private citizens.

Plus the price could go down when collectors realize there's 5000 of them.

I think they go for more than that.

All weapons capable of fully automatic fire had to be registered before 1986. So no more machine guns can enter the market, which is why they are all so expensive now.

    So collectors can't buy them.

Um no. The GCA of 1968 banned importation of full-auto weapons for civilians. These will never hit our shores unless they are torched in half and parts removed.

One of the first units to use the rifles were cut off from their army group and completely surrounded by Russians. They received an air drop of the new rifles and were able to fight their way out quickly.

Take israel back and give it to first occupiers is that not fair , I mean we went back over 2'000 years to these Jews who are not hebrew. land that was not given to them by God . God did not give Israel to jews but to hebrews , The claim is a lie . and no American can deny . least I bring the American indian into discussion were are AMERICANS on the North American indian issue of genocide.
