HOW MUCH MONEY DOES IT COST TO SAVE A LIFE? HOW MUCH IS A LIFE WORTH? EARLY GUN BUYBACK PROGRAMS OFFERED A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS PER GUN THAT WAS HANDED IN UNDER AN ANONYMITY. I PLAN TO OFFER $1500 PER GUN HANDED IN, AS A DEBIT CARD OR CREDIT CARD, UP TO $6000 OR 4 GUNS PER PERSON. THE COST OF KEEPING A PERSON FROM BEING SHOT BY A GUN I S HIGH; HOSPITAL BILLS AND THERAPY ADD UP TO MUCH MORE THAN $1500. IN THE LONG RUN, IT IS CHEAPER TO KEEP GUNS OFF OUR CITY STREETS AND PAY AN ANONYMOUS GUN DONOR THAN NOT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL. WE WILL PREVENT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE BEING SHOT FROM GANG VIOLENCE AND OTHER FORMS OF GUN VIOLENCE. THE MONEY GIVEN TO THESE ANONYMOUS GUN DONORS HAS TO BE HIGH, HIGH ENOUGH TO OUTWEIGH THE NEED FOR GUN OWNERS. THROUGH VARIOUS FUND RAISERS, I PLAN TO REMOVE 1000 GUNS FROM CHICAGO STREETS. WE NEED TO RAISE 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS JUST FOR THE GUNS ALONE, AND EXTRA MONEY FOR ADMINISTRATION AND EXPENSES ON THE EVENT DAY. VOLUNTEER POLICE OFFICERS AND SAFETY OFFICERS WILL BE IN CHARGE OF THE GUNS AFTER THE GUN BUY BACK EVENT, UNTIL THE GUNS CAN BE MELTED DOWN AND TURNED INTO A SCULPTURE. HOW MUCH DOES A LIFE COST? DO YOU THINK THAT THE FAMILY OF A MURDERED PERSON WOULD PAY $1500 TO BRING THEIR DEAD FAMILY MEMBER BACK. OF COURSE...IS $1500 TOO MUCH TO GIVE TO SOMEONE TO HAND IN A GUN ANONYMOUSLY? NO, IT IS POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE GUNS OFF CHICAGO STREETS FOR OUR FUTURE AND OUR CHILDRENS FUTURE.

Holy Caps lock batman.
"HOW MUCH MONEY DOES IT COST TO SAVE A LIFE? HOW MUCH IS A LIFE WORTH? " Should be interesting to see the crap they collect. 6000$ for 4 guns? At 200$ a piece SKS's will turn a tidy profit in this exchange program.
Look forward to more of these I figure, as the AWB didnt float.

There are websites devoted to watching for these buybacks to occur, then people go and trade in very low value weapons for cash or gift certificates, and subsequently purchase new, nicer firearms and post the pictures online.

I see them as some people's cloaked attempts to take firearms out of the hands of the poor, leaving only the wealthy with the means to defend themselves.
