Dayamn...

Viper GTS

That was going 3150fps at impact. Which is to say, pretty close to (if not actually) muzzle velocity. From a 20" barrel. My neighbor from down the street, who I talked to while he was on leave, was decidedly less than impressed with the results of shooting an Iraqi in the chest five times with his M4 firing M855 at under 150 yards. And by "decidedly less than impressed" I mean "swearing profusely".

Personally, I'd rather hit someone with the bullet on the left.

Dimensionally the same. BUT there is a large difference in pressure. 5.56mm GI brass is thicker= less open space in case= higher pressures= higher velocities. It is NOT safe to shoot GI 5.56mm ammo in a weapon marked for .223 remington, but it IS safe to shoot .223rem ammo in a 5.56mm.

Ammo doesn't matter that much, unless you are competing.

Just stay away from the cheap steel stuff... like Wolf. (Although I have shot tons of Wolf in my day 🙂)

Buy brass.

People seem pretty happy with Wolf's new polymer coated ammo. You would need to make sure of what you're getting though.

Yea Im going to get this 5.56mm Stuff fthat I posted. I got some of the newer Wolf, but I still don't want to use it really.

For the price I paid for Wolf, I can order this stuff and it only be .05 more per round.
