Gummi Bear melted into car carpet, how to remove?

I guess it happens every now and then. But a gummi bear has melted into the carpet in my car. And I mean bad - its a nice black round spot thats as hard as a rock.

Anyhow know anything that can remove this?

cut it out with a knife or use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it and try to pull it out.

Put carpet in freezer. When the stuff is really hard, break it out (with screwdriver or chisel of something).

it's gelatin.

if you try the freezer thing, use a can of compressed air, and turn it upside down, and spray. wear gloves to prevent frostbite.

googone will leave a mess. but it should work, if you apply several times. also, if you try this method, take a heatgun or a blow dyer to warm the thing up, and remove excess with a paper towel (thick).

I think you should burn it off with fire, but then you gota get rid of the burn spot and that I cant help you with.

I'm with Sundog on the treatment, boiling water, rub a little, sop up, repeat until it's gone.

1.) Place your index finger on your dominant hand directly behind the gummi bear on the opposite side of the carpet
2.) Form your other hand into a cylinder with the hole around the gummi bear
3.) Push the carpet, with your index finger, through the hole until the gummi bear is just outside of the hole
4.) Use this as a lolli-pop and lick, bite, chew, gnaw, and suck until gummi bear is gone
5.) Proceed with vomiting and attempt not to vomit until you reach the toilet

this is a little off topic, but speaking of gummi bears, i had a sealed pack of gummi bears in the back seat of my car like two years. i bought it like during the winter time and snuck it into the movies. i ended up not eating it, so i just threw it in the back seat of my car and left it there for a good 6 months. by that time, it was already well into summer and being in the back seat of my car, it melted and resolidified many many times. when i actually realized it was still there, all the gummi bears had become one big "gummi cake". i thought i would still be able to eat a few chucks, but when i opened that package, i could swear i saw mold or fungi in the middle of the gummi cake. pretty nasty...

I once read an article in Car and Driver where they were driving a Ferrari across the US. Along the way, they guy came out of a resturant to find a little kid stuffing gummy bears into the gas tank hole as fast as he could.
