After 4.5 years in my current position I dropped an application to a potential employer a week ago. Got a call back tonight and they want to talk tomorrow. I'm in PST and they are in EST. I wanted to talk before I had to be into my current job.

I'm nervous. It's been a while since I've been interviewed.

just relax, and ask lots of questions.

Ask about company protocol pertaining to your position, they like peeps who show interest in the job.

Well...I'm actually in the process of moving back to IA anyway. Company down here didn't work out and they pulled me back up to Iowa. I'll be up there by Thanksgiving.

New job is actually HQ'd in Troy, MI. But I would work from home a few days a week and would travel a few days a week helping install and train public saftey response systems. It's really location independent and only requires that I'm halfway near an airport.
 
Geez, that's inconsiderate of them. When I set up interviews, I ALWAYS had time zones in mind and I would never set something up before 9AM unless a candidate requested it.

Self imposed. I wanted to get the call in before I had to be to work.

Numbers quoted to me were a base salary about 50% more than I make now with performance based bonuses that could bump me up to almost double what I'm making.

So yes. More money. 😎
