Persian gulf nations are going to be testing people to see if they are gay. If they are found to be gay they will be denied entry into the nation.

While I disagree with discrimination against certain groups, I uphold a nations right to pass they laws they want.

Good for Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, they should be able to pass laws that represent the will of the majority.

What is the test? Do they put a naked dude and chick in front of you and see which one you stare at?
Whatever the test I am sure it will not be 100% effective, meaning non-gays may be prohibited and gays may be allowed in.

"Now extend your arm out in front of you, perpendicular to the floor"

*measure angle between wrist and hand, checks with acceptable range*

I'm just curious at what point does the tolerant left in America stop blinding supporting these cultures.

Are you hoping for this to be implemented at the Texas state line?

When I read the title I was thinking Gulf of Mexico states. And I was like "woah, I mean I don't think highly of Mississippi or Alabama, but I never thought they'd do THIS!". Can't say I'm surprised about the theocratic countries doing this shit.

Never. White guilt will prevent them from considering themselves superior to any other culture for any reason.

I'm a little surprised to see that coming from Qatar and Oman, but know that religious conservatives there still far outnumber the progressives who have brought modernity to their countries.

Not surprised at all to see the Saudis doing that though.

Just because liberals aren't trying to start a holy war with Muslims doesn't mean we support discrimination if they enact it. Sadly from looking at it Michigan's anti discrimination laws don't extend to homosexuals, so something like this could be tried with legal recourse being difficult.

This whole article is one bit WTF

Those taking part in homosexual acts in Kuwait, if they’re under 21, can receive a jail sentence of up to 10 years.
Being gay is a sin, but only if you're under 21. What?

It’s illegal to be gay in 78 countries, with lesbianism banned in 49. Five countries mete out the death penalty to gay people – Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen and Mauritania.
Men being gay is worse than women being gay? Uh ok.

What's ironic is that Arab countries are some of the most pro-gay countries in the world. Women can be severely beaten if they are walking with or talking to a man they are not married to, but they can have naked pillow fights with other women and nobody says anything. kingdom in the closet. Man walking with a woman big no no. Taking a man to your room for some hardcore sex = nobody cares.

I don't know about you but if I saw that I'd certainly say something! Namely I'd say "don't stop, let me get my camera" :D

Actually, in many countries in the middle east, GAY for men is way different than gay here. If you are an older man and have sex with a boy under 18, it's not gay to them. I'm serious. As long as there is no "love" involved then it's just physical fun and not being "gay" or homesexual. I kid you not. There is a saying I heard before from there. Women are for babies and boys are for fun. Yet, if you declare your love as a man for another man, then you'll be severely punished for being "gay" in your declaration.
