Oh, I love the 5-6 extra a day, I just wish I could get better out of them. I had always heard that when you went dual processing you would only see a 4-5% drop in some apps, while you would see a significant increase in your ability to run a lot of things at once.
From the running a lot of things at once, they are absolutely great!
However, I have a single P3-1000 running on a cusl2-c and I get Seti times that average below 7 hours, 2 to 2.5 hours faster than I get on my dual cur-dls w/P3-1000's...
Yet, I have a dual Iwill dvd266-r w/DDR memory w/dual p3-700's that I am still trying to tweak and I am averaging 5 hrs on one cpu and 8.5 on the other.
My long term plans are to keep only 1 cur-dls as my permanent home server, and get several Epox 8KHA+ or maybe even a soyo dragon and see how far I can push them 7-8+ WU's a day.
Since I travel so much, I pick up parts all over the US, it beats sitting in a hotel room at night. You would be suprised at how many shops have boards they need to RMA, but they will sell for nearly nothing to save them the headache of doing the RMA and selling it for used once it comes back.
From an auction I have parts for 5 dual p2-300's, only 1 of which I have had time to build. I plan to dedicate one to a UT server, another for Quake.
After Christmas, I am going to be putting a lot of stuff up for sale. I'm on the road too much, but I can't break the habit of shopping for deals.
As an example, for my best deal I had one cur-dls I picked up for $100, had to RMA it, with $12 shipping, $112 my cost for a $600+ board.
