I played in a house band years back the bass player could hit Harmonics all the time if he wanted to, I worked with him for the bottom end.

The other two guys were good on the Strats, they could trade off riffs on lead or rhythm and piss around doing about anything.

We were the house band there at a pretty nice club about 6 months, still talk to a few
other people now and then I've never hooked up with again.

Had a band with a lot of potential at the time would have gone big I imagine, even had people offering to buy high end equipment and put us on the road,

It was an odd band though, everyone could not agree on things and was a pickup band kinda.

We used to play at some places and the local bands would come gab with us and ask how long we had been together, it was a Danny just called everyone last night.

Freaked some people out a bit at the time, but was about like someone just calling up set musicians like Post Modern Jukebox does.

If you know what you are doing you can fit in about anywhere I guess.

A harmonic scale is a natural scale with the 7th note raised a halftone. You're referring to a harmonic note where you lightly touch a string at the 5th, 7th, or 12th fret to produce a note.

You should add a wash pedal. If anything, you can use it as a treble boost pedal.
I hardly play anymore as it is. I use a light distortion if anything. Other than that, I mostly noodle around without even being plugged into an amp.

Man, I don't really have the attention span for 3 solid minutes of improvisation. :O I got a pretty good take laid down with a bit of ADHD nonsense in the middle though. I'll post it up when I get home.

Don't noodle the whole song, make a repeating verse, then solo for a minute or so :D Once you figure out your verses, you can improvise around them. Listeners need something repeating to latch on to so they can relate to the song. That's why free-form jazz is so hard to listen to :)

Great vibe! I like your distortion sound- what are you using?
I was going into a DOD 250, then an Ibanez DE-7 for delay, finally into a Joyo "British Sound" amp sim pedal so I could go direct to my interface.

The amp sim pedal is supposed to emulate Marshall amp tones, hence "British Sound". I also have the "American Sound" Fender emulator.

nice tracks guys!

what are you guys using as far as setup Guitar-> USB interface-> DAW?
Yep. My recording was my Tele, thru the pedals and straight into my USB interface. I use Reaper to track the audio and then mix down the final mp3.

I swear by Teles for recording! Pull out your Gibson on stage, but Telecasters just track better.

Finally stopped being lazy and picked up Reaper to go along with Guitar Rig 5, etc. It's easier than I thought after RTFM, however I haven't recorded any tracks.

I've heard of people jamming together on Discord, anyone use that?
