Guitar strumming question

Hey there..

I have been playing the guitar for a few years now but when it comes to strumming using fingers, I like using my thumb as opposed to the other fingers... Are there other guitarists out there ( not beginners ) who like using the thumb too or is it just me?

Instead of the thumb just try using a pick. That way you can built up more control and speed when using a pick which should help you later. I don't think there's any way that you're thumb will move fast enough to play all songs.

I do use the pick.... However, in absence of a pick ( for whatever reason ), what would you play with? I tend to prefer the thumb..
