Guitar Question

I got a guitar and have been getting "lessons" from a guy down the hall but am in need of a book. Anyone have a suggestion, or will any just do? I know the basic chords (A-E), and am learning bars right now (both A and E). I know single notes but need something to read off of.

I'd be interested in what people have to say as well, since I just recently got a guitar too. (From Lawton here on AT, nonetheless. Purty guitar at that. ^_^) Someone respond.
