I am looking for a 10-15 watt practice amp. Preferably under a hundred bucks. I will be using it with a Fender Telecaster. I want something that sounds good both clean and distorted. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Pignose = $$$. A cheap fender will suffice. I personally had a Crate which I liked.

vox ad15vt or boss microcube. Both a little more than $100 but maybe you can get them used off of ebay. The Boss is nice because you can use it on batteries. Both have a decent selection of effects built in....

Have you had any experience with this one? It seems like a good deal at 79.99. Plus music123 has a 10% percent off coupon for all Fender items right now.

i was just thinking of the 15G... i've played on my friends, it has a very nice and warm tone, but the distortion is very nice on it too. you'll like it.

Roland Cube 15

This is by far one of the most recommended practice amps for under $100 that money can buy. Seriously consider the Roland over the Fender 15G

I have both a Pignose and a Fender (don't remember the models). I prefer the Pignose, but both do the job just fine.

as far as my personal experience, i haven't played a fender amp in a long time. i mostly play metal and i'm more of a mesa/boogie recto man myself. i chose that one because fender makes good amps and i know a few people that have had that amp and really like it.

This one looks pretty good too. It seems like there is a lot of bang for the buck. Especially will the distortion effects. I will have to seriously consider this one.

The distortion effects definately seperate itself from the Fender 15G. I believe that amp is what came with my nephew's Squire players pack. I mean.. don't get me wrong.. I'm sure the Fender 15G makes a good practice amp.. but the Roland Cube 15 packs so much into that little thing, it makes you wonder why it doesn't cost more than $100.

I made the mistake of purchasing one of those players packs (i'm learning on the cheap).. and bought an Epiphone SG Special. Well..as soon as I read and researched on the Roland, I purchased one. My little $hitty Epiphone amp is currently collecting dust in the back of the closet.

Thanks, this is the one I am going to go with.

Try a Vox Pathfinder also. If you want to hear something really amazing, get them to hook it to a good 4 x 12 cabinet.

Awesome choice, but I recently discovered the Fender G-DEC.

G-DEC Info

There is nothing on the market like it! It's a full band in a portable box. Love mine to death, and it never fails to impress :)

Wow that thing is amazing. Unfortunately at $270 it is out of my price range.

The Roland series would be your best bet then. I carry my Microcube everywhere :)
