It looks ridiculous. Reminds me of those keyboard guitars that were around in the 80s...

Yeah, maybe it looks funny to some, but wait until you hear it wail in the hands of a master like Page....

Good idea. I'm Sorry, but Gibson have been one of the worst in releasing signiture guitars, lately. That said, I have never saw a double kneck gibson SG. A double kneck Epiphone SG, yes, but not a Gibson. I can just imagine the mark up that will occur on this guitar.

Gibson came out iwth the SG doubleneck in the early 1960's. They're special order, so you won't see to many of them. Those cheap Epiphone knockoffs are everywhere though.

This is probably the most famous guitar in history, and it's an exact replica of Jimmy Page's own instrument. Jimmy is keeping #1, and another 25 or so are signed and played by him. I bet they go for $15,000 at least.

...even if you were really young, you'd have to be pretty damn sheltered to say that.

I understand the historical significance and rarity, but imo a regular SG (or better yet, a really nice LP) looks better.

LMAO! That just caught me off-guard. Nice axe though! Imagine how big the case is? It would be like carrying a piano with a handle on it.

Famous or not, valuable or not, this is a dinosaur (i.e., an bloated, impractical relic of another era). I can't imagine what about this one would find beautiful. I like Led Zeppelin OK (though I feel they are wildly overrated), but don't even pretend to understand why anyone would want this thing, much less be willing to pay $15 - 25K for one.

OK, this is a good reason to never trust any opinion you ever have. If anyone ever asks your advice, you'll now be required to show them this post so they will not listen to you.

Anyway, someone would want this guitar because the it's just damned cool...and the history behind it + the autograph would make it an awesome historical piece.

Here's a little clip of it in action- although I admit Page is probably one of the few that could pull off this look
