guitar players.

Don't try to patch it up! Look at some of the guitars people like SRV played.... His was all beat to hell and full of character! People actually pay money for guitars that are "aged". Just look at the Tom Murphy aged Les Pauls. Having Murphy age a guitar adds something like a grand to the price!

Got dings and stuff on mine. I put electrical tape over the big dents 🙂 When I get my LP it's not leaving the case.

Keep playing....it's like a car. After a while, the scratches only add character. 😀

I've got a friend that actually set his guitar on fire once....poured alcohol on it and lit it. 😛

If they're just light surface scratches, you can buff them out using automotive finishing compound and a guitar cloth. I use one made by 3M and it works very well.

If they're deep scratches, you might need some sort of lacquer filler.

yep ... car rubbing compound, then some polish for light scratches.

if they're deep, don't worry about it. you can get some of it out with rubbing compound, but you don't want to buff through the finish.

leave em, it's an epiphone anyway...
Are they not very good?

well, they are basically the "beginner" line for gibson.

don't listen to 'em. epiphones are great guitars. there are some i actually consider better sounding, like the elitist riviera.

Well, Epiphone has two eras, so depends on what you're talking about.

Old Epi from pre 1980 was their own designs and they made some excellent intruments. Modern Epi basically uses Gibson's blueprints for all of their guitars, has them made in Korea, then ships them back over there. The build quality and the wood used isn't nearly as good as a true "Made in the USA" Gibson, but it's close enough.

Epi does still have a premium line where they use their own designs, but you'll see the build quality in the price obviously.
