beginner here. i only played for about a week or so. Why e7 so hard to hit? or will it smooth out over time?

Some chords don't need to be completely fingered to be effective within the context of the song. As you practice going to that chord, it will become easier. Try going to it from different chords so as to develop the fingering "memory" for that chord .
