Guitar Hero II Tips

Standard tips for any song: Up and down strumming, hammer-ons and pull-offs. Use the practice feature, slow that section down, and let the muscle memory work its magic.

I dont know how he does it but my son (14) beat 1 and 2 on expert, it is crazy to watch, he plays seated and when the fast stuff comes up he destroys it, not perfect or even close to it, at some parts he gets boo'd but he pulls it together and beats it.

I bought it on release day and still haven't put enough time into it...I sat down one day and beat the first...3 or 4 sections of expert, but haven't done anything more since then.

I never finished BatM on medium in GH1, but I finished it on hard....

I finally beat it on expert. Damn, that song is hard, but once you get the main riff down, tis much easier.

The first GH is way easier than the second, I played the second one first then finally played the original and I could beat all the songs on expert on the first try, I can barely beat more than a handful on expert on GH2 but I don't own it so I don't play much.

Hammer ons and power offs are almost useless in 1. beat Cowboys from Hell on expert, first try. If so, you are a guitar hero god of somesort.

That game is just about gaining power for that meter and using it during super fast parts where you can't keep up the entire part.. every song has plenty of opportunity to earn that power. You can always pull yourself out of that crap. CFH is a hard ass song no doubt but the main riff and the chorus are super easy... I dunno I honestly have barely played that game and it was easy. 😕
