I know there are currently 3 packs of songs available for download from Xbox Live (in addition to the My Chemical Romance pack).

I'm wondering if anyone knows when more packs will be released? Hopefully containing some songs from Guitar Hero I (for PS2).
 
They've been releasing them around the 11th of each month. They originally planned to release a pack each month, but word is that Microsoft goofed initially, and released the first 3 packs simultaneously. They released the first 3 on April 11th. That was April's, May's, and June's packs. Then they released another around the 11th on July, another around the 11th of August, so if everything holds up, another should be released by mid-week.

The three non-MCR song packs ARE Guitar Hero I songs. Other than that, I have no idea what we'll have the pleasure of being overcharged for in the future.

I believe it's already been established that the first 3 packs were GH1 songs.

Yea, but I think abaez meant release them ALL for $15-$20, which sounds more than reasonable.

$20 is usually the going rate for a game that is roughly 2 years old but so far 9 of the 30 main songs have been released at $6.25 apiece. So if they released all 30 songs at the same rate it would cost 6.25*10 = $62.50 and you wouldn't get the guitar peripheral or the 17 additional bonus tracks the PS2 version had.
 
If More Than a Feeling is in the next one, I'm buying it. That's the only GH1 song I really care about.

I'm in the same boat. The rest of the songs don't matter much to me.

With GHIII out in less than a month I think the DLC for GHII is all up in the air. Based only on that, we've possibly seen the last DLC for GHII but I don't think anyone other than Red Octane and MS knows for sure.

Between the prices and selection, I'm thoroughly disappointed with GHII's DLC.
 
I agree. All of the talk recently has been about full-album dlc when GHIII and Rock Band come out. I think DLC for GHII was more of experiment than true revenue stream for Red Octane and MS.
 
I really regret buying GHII. It was fun at first but I haven't touched it in forever. Probably didn't even play it for more than 1-2 weeks.
