So what? That shouldn't matter to most people, me included.

Yeah, I mean who cares if *music* is in stereo?

Who needs color TV even?

Pretty big screwup IMO.

not saying that this isn't a pretty big screwup, but no need to blow it out of proportion with an exaggerated metaphor. The issue is now known and hopefully a patch or new replacement disks will be issued to correct it.

I dont consider it an exaggeration.

Honestly, I still cant fathom how this got past testing.

Considering its a freaking MUSIC game, I can't either. I'm sorry to anyone who bought this version already.

another reason why I can't understand how people LOVE the Wii. Not having high def output or DD 5.1 in each game is ridic.

Not everyone has or needs surround sound. Heck most people I know don't even have HD yet.

Well, the DD 5.1 on the 360 aint all that. Some songs I can barely even hear the vocals. Thought my hifi was jacked up. They didi a pisspoor job in the sound for GH3. The center channel is the PLINK when you miss, sound overall is crap. I switch to normal stereo. GH2 sounded much better in 5.1 but had its issues too, not nearly as bad as GH3 tho. I really hate the fact that when your character drops the guitar after a song in GH3 you dont hear the crash like in GH2.

never played on the 360, but on PS2 I always played in Stereo mode on my receiver.

Huh... didn't know that. I have it for the Wii and have played the first couple sets of songs and didn't notice a difference from the PS2 version of Guitar Hero III.

Has Activision made any official comments on the GH3 being mono for Wii?
I was going to buy it but now I will wait until its fixed.

They haven't made any official comments about it. People who have contacted tech support got this reply:

We are looking into the issue of reports of problems with sound within the game. At this time, I do not have any additional information to provide on the matter.
