Guitar Hero 3 for the PC issues.

I am having trouble with getting the guitar to work in the game. When I look in Control Panel under Game Controllers it shows it working perfectly but it doesn't work in game.

I also have a wierd issue that I have to reboot my system each time I want to play. If I try to restart it says it cannot because it is already running. It shows it running in Task Manager but it never loads.

I am running Vista 64 Home edition. The game plays well once I do get in but between struggling to get it to load and no guitar I am not too happy.

That game was very buggy. I think there's a patch available for it, get that first.

As a work around, you could use something like xpadder to map the keyboard controls to the guitar.

I just bought the game this wekend and it shows it has the most recent patch.
