Guitar Hero 2, released and ready to rock!

Have my guitars, and have been working on my skills....Tomorrow the 2nd one is out and I can hardly wait. Then of course followed by gear of war the next day.....fun times for gamers!

Anyone else planning on getting these games?

It'll be on the 360...just without a wireless controller.

As for me, I'll pick it up after voting tomorrow...already beat all the songs in the first 2 sets on expert at Best Buy (marketing/training job), so I'm eager to see how thoroughly the difficult songs are going to kick my ass.

It was out like 2 weeks ago at Walmart. Also I saw it for demo at EB last week, i didn't play it, or see if they had in stock. I'm still not too good at Guitar Hero so i'm not interested in buying it yet.

SO! Who bought it today? I just played through a few songs in co-op with a friend...tried all the way down to level 7, some damn tricky songs. I'm gonna enjoy learning them

If I had no life, I wouldn't be posting on here. As it is, I have a life outside ATOT. 17K isn't that hard to achieve.

My close friend's brother is a professional MLB player. He owns all of us at guitar hero, yet somehow finds the time to help out worthy charitable causes, play hockey, own real estate, go fly fishing, collect vintage wine and - that's right - post on internet discussion boards.

Playing a video game != having no life.

I just started playing guitar hero 1, it's fun, but I enjoy playing ddr more. I stopped playing ddr a while ago though, if 360 gets a good ddr game then I might get back into it.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious, but I guess you never took into account that maybe I don't have the time nor drive to learn to play a guitar.... It's a game, get over it.


Wow didn't realize this topic would create a tiny flame war... Oh well it happens. I enjoy the game, its fun to play with friends and the songs are pretty good too. I will be honest though, it is not as good as I hoped, but hey new songs are what I was really after and I got that. As for the 360, it is scheduled, and I will pick that up if they offer additional songs to d/l off the marketplace. For now though I will enjoy on my PS2.

I dunno thought this was going to be released at the same time across the US, all I can tell you is that we had it released in my area yesterday, as for everyone else, I'm not sure.

As for the OP's question. I love the first one. I like to play it mainly for the music. I dont have the controller. got the game dirt cheap and you can use the regular PS2 controller to play it. Once the new one is out for a bit and some one buys the spare controller and lets go of the game cheap I will jump on it as well. Again its mainly for the good music and the fact they dont use cover bands either so you get to fvck around and listen to songs and actually have some fun making a fool of yourself. Im sure if I had the right controller I would look more of a fool but I dont care its all about the fun

Amen its just simply fun, if you don't like fun, then must be a communist! Just so you know, the controllers are starting to show up at gamestop and eb games used for like 20 dollars....can't beat that! Hope you find one.
