Here is a performance of Night Train by the new GnR from 2002 when they still had Buckethead.
Robin Fink has a solo that starts around 3min 14sec into the song. Buckethead has a solo immediately after Robin that kicks serious butt.
I really wish Bucket would have stayed around with GnR but I am sure Axl and him probably had some issues together. I know many people think he is a joke because of his costume but the man is phenomonal. Ive seen him twice as a solo act and he can play any style. Hes becoming my new favorite.
I really enjoy Clapton, Vai, Satriani, Knophler, Buckingham, etc. but Bucket just seems to have an endless supply of creative songs.
Pick up some of his cds. I think you may be impressed if you can get past his wierd persona that he apparently rarely breaks.
