Alright, obviously you know this guitar will suck for $14, but I recently played one of these things...

This is a classical guitar and the action is set extremely high making it really tough to play (it's tendenitis inducing). It also sounds like a $3.95 guitar. Also, the bridge on the one I had broke in a week, as the bass E string cut into it. Therefore, when it was tuned the note was E, on the first fret it was A (instead of F)...therefore it was unplayable. It wasn't worth the shipping to send it back.

If you are only going to play for a week get this.
If you are going to play for a month get the cheapest one you can get at a real guitar store ($70)
If you are going to play for more than that get a solid top (you can get one for around $200-300).

what if ur a learning bloke who knows jack about guitars...just wannna get something CHEAP to learn...then what?

Always go to a store and play a guitar first. Even if you only know one chord. I liked a $140 guitar much more than $500-600 guitars. Buy what feels best as everyone likes different things. Also search "guitars" and read some of the things in OT.

that thing looks painful!!! go to Musician's Friend and go to the 'blemished' section... great deals there... Epiphone, Yamaha, Ibanez can all be had for under $150

This thread brought to you courtesy of a rip from FW. I'm not promoting one site over the other, just sayin don't blatantly steal others' posts (word for word, that whole sh*t about the red/green improving sound too) without giving a thanx to the original posters.

As for the guitar...its a jimi hendrix guitar -- meaning if you want to be like jimi hendrix and break a guitar after your every show, get this Also its a nice thing if you're just gonna put it in your room to impress people heh...but then atleast learn one song so you can say youre trying.

Btw fact about jimi hendrix and broken guitar(s) <<- parentheses there because the guitar he broke over and over was the same one, put back together after the show so he can break it next show. (random useless fact)
