I've always stuck to budweiser or the like. . .I got a nice six pack of Guiness extra stout tonight. . . Dang it is expensive, but it is excellent.

That is all.

Go to your local distributor that has a lot of microbrews and pick up a bunch.

Budweiser isn't half bad (especially for the price), but I'm not a huge fan.

Guinness on tap is in the dictionary under "Greatest Beer Known to Man"

I only drink Budweiser when someone else bought it.
My beer of choice is Shiner Bock, though I can't say I've seen it on tap anywhere. To be fair though, I usually don't go to bars that much.

Extra stout is the Guinness in the shorter bottles...not the ones with a widget.

I love Guinness, but only when I'm at a pub, otherwise I get microbrew from the beer store because there is so much freaking awesome microbrew out there.

I never let money make me what I want to eat and drink. And I never understand why so many people do it. Thats the most basic element of your life that you control to your liking, and yet you ignore it.

I am not asking to go out eating in the most expensive restaurants or any restaurants everyday, but buying apples instead of oranges because they are $0.10 cheaper is beyond me.

edit: not directed at Dunbar, but lots of people make such compromises.

I agree with ya pretty much. As for me, i love a LOT of different kinds of beer. So when i go to the store to pick some up...i scan to see what's on sale. if something i've never tried is on sale, or have a craving for a certain kind that i find on sale, i'll pick it up. But if i really want a Guinness or anything else i really want at that time, i do not let price dictate what i'm going to buy. :)

I like a lot of beers so I just see what's on sale and if I like it than I buy it. Guiness Extra Stout is good but it's not worth 50% more to me than say Deschutes Black Butte Porter. I won't buy a beer I don't like just because it's on sale.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout = the best Guinness. Not just because it is hard to find either, it is like the extra stout except with more hops.

Guinness Extra Stout Rules

Rules? This beer has rules?
Are you only allowed to drink it at a set temperature?
Or with certain foods?
Maybe you're not allowed to drink it when you drive? (that'd be a good one IMO)

Beer rules indeed...sounds like the "Man Law" commericals...:D
LOL!

Guinness is good, however, if you have any local breweries in your area I would give it a shot. From my experience, local breweries make Guinness look like Budweiser.
