Call of Duty #2??? CoD didn't even get extremely popular until Modern Warfare. No way it's #2. No way Halo is the best series ever. They've only had 3 games and while they've been fun no way is Halo the best series ever. Greatest series you think of something like Mario or Zelda or Final Fantasy. Those are epic series that still haven't died. You can tell this is BS cus they have World of Warcraft as #7 and it's not even a series. This is supposed to be about series.

Pretty dismal list IMO. I understand what they were going for by asking people instead of the publishers/experts/whatever, but this list is just way off. My own top 10 would likely include the following (in no particular order):

Diablo
Warcraft (to include WC1/2/3 and WoW)
Halo (1/2/3/ODST/Reach)
Final Fantasy
Starcraft
Call of Duty
Super Mario Bros
Zelda
Half-Life
Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat (I prefer MK but its hard to argue with the legacy of SF)

You'll notice this list actually includes series only. Some series I can't include since I haven't played them (God of War, Battlefield, Resident Evil, Gears of War) but I'm not sure they would be able to beat out any of the above even if I had.

When you cut out most of the bullshit... the list looks much better... still plenty of crap in there that I don't think belongs, or should be at the bottom. Starcraft was an awesome RTS, but calling it a series when it's sequel is still in beta is a little absurd. I also changed WoW to "Warcraft"... cause calling WoW a series is fucking retarded. There's also tons of crap in the list like TOMB RAIDER where maybe one or two out of the series were actually any good... and wtf actually likes WWE games?

Also... Madden... I do not count as a series. It's the same fucking game every year. Same with most sports games. Yes, they improve over time and new features get added and occasionally they make leaps forward... but for the most part they're the same damn thing EVERY SINGLE TIME but with new rosters. Whoop de frickin doo.
