Guild Wars worth it?

I'm not posting in the wrong forum.

It is most definitely worth it IMO. It isn't very massive and I often have a hard time finding people of similar level and progress so that we can quest together. That is actually my biggest complaint; finding a good party. If I could ever level up enough and start playing PvP it would probably be better.

The graphics are great (1680x1050 is pretty tight) and it runs well on slower machines. It very rarely lags and load times are super quick. I wish it had more of an item system though, ala Diablo 2, but overall it is a good online RPG.

This is a much bigger point than we realize. The problem with the stagnating mmo these days is the reliance on other people in the game world in order to progress. This should not be the case, since based on the fact of paying money to the developer in order to enjoy the game, enjoying the game concept is based as an entirety in fullfillment, for example, being able to attain the games hardest rewards individually, granted it should be harder but better than not at all.

A friend of mine was heavy into GuildWars for a few months, until he beat everything and got frustrated with the developers killing off all of the farming grounds. He's since moved onto WoW and it seems like he'll never look back.
