The game seemed nice, graphic were pretty, but ...... I've never played a MMORPG beyond its few demo days. It seemed weak, but I'm not aware of what's really out there. The missions, 6 players only? Where's the Chaos? Someone I used to work with said that AC would have hundreds of users and monsters in the same area battling for survival. The server admins would release Chaos on the world.

It seemed tame, like a PC single-user game, but don't take that as someone who likes PKing and equipment stealing, I hated that in diablo, all the cheaters in town.

They should do something like release hundreds of monsters outside the town and everyone has to fight cooporatively to keep them out. Chaos!

I have never played a MMORPG either (except Diablo II but that was only single player, I didnt have internet back then). I thought the game was alright, but I will not purchase the game. I thought the graphics were good and just the whole magic kinda realm thing (as I have never played MMORPG) was kinda neat. I felt that it had great potential but lacked implementation. I dont know if I felt this game had great potential or MMORPG in general had great potential. I agree that 6 people battles were a little tame. I imagined massive amounts of people and insane battles. I didnt like how there were 6 people and most of the battles only like 3 enemies. I didnt like how there was no point in the PvP tournaments (I was on a 4 vs 4 where my team was all lvl 20's and we just dominated everyone we played .... for almost an hour, and then I got bored and left).

After playing this game all weekend long, I pre-ordered everquest II, so I guess guild wars demo did what it was supposed to, which is turn a person on to a game that they wouldnt otherwise be turned onto, but the bad news was it was to a diff game.

It aint a MMO guys, no matter what they say. No persistant world for one. Do not take this game as an example of a MMO. It's a multiplayer RPG sure, but that's where the similarity ends.

As for my opinion I didn't much like it. Nothing new offered really. Plus, the effects were pretty and everything but the action was so fast paced I could hardly see what was happening enough to appreciate them.

I did enjoy the missions, kinda, but not enough to redeem the game.

it was alright but the exploration areas are just simply horrible they should incorporate many side quests into it otherwise it is a complete waste of time

I enjoyed the PVP aspect of the game although this is severly unbalanced toward warrior/monk build
i played long enough to hit the lvl cap on the 2nd day of play and completed all the missions so I would like to see more content because the missions are actually quite fun but this isn't a problem since this is still an alpha build

i am hoping it is more balanced in the future and if so i will be playing next year

Put it this way, if Diablo 3 is on par with Guild Wars...um nevermind. Doesnt really matter, they'll still sell 10 zillion copies. Maybe 11.

IMHO, ArenaNet had big ideas but fell short on the implementation. They tried to do too much instead of doing less and making it shine.

FYI - Diablo 2 is NOT an MMORPG. It barely fits into the RPG genre to begin with.

Yea, I know, but the missions in GW seemed to only allow 6 players.

Only the towns seemed to be Massively Multiplayer. Big Woop!

Which games are trully Massively Multiplayer?

better than lineage 2, which i quit playing
i like some of the features, being able to acquire a huge skill list to select from is nice
and, after playing l2, being able to do quests in an area where some jackass with 30 levels over you cant interrupt you is nice.

too short of a beta though; one weekend didnt give me (or, most people) enough time to really get a good feel for the game.

I tried it. It was ok at first, mainly the novelty of it, but after a while of playing it the whole thing got old. I won't be buying this one.

- I installed the beta
- Played through the tutorial
- Once I finished the tutorial, I began the real game.
- I played for about 7mins and 12 seconds, logged off and never played again.
- Uninstalled.
