That's good, I like GW, but the thing to keep in mind is that it's the sales from Prophesies, Factions, Nightfall, and EotN combined.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to GW2.

Still means that each version averaged at least 1.2 million copies, nothing to sneeze at.

GW is pretty awesome, and the devs have always been good about listening to the player's issues and trying to fix them when they can and it's practical. I don't play it much anymore, but every now and then I log back in and spend a few hours on it. It's nice that I can take 3-4 months off and not have to worry about paying up every month, even when I'm not playing.

Anyone here play this? I'm trying to get back into it, but since I haven't played in well over a year or maybe even two... I have forgotten a lot. I'm trying to come up to speed because I was interested and liked it, but I always fall out of most games before I get far.
I have a Level 11 Necromancer, Meroc Ooriqi, and have only the original campaign (aka Prophecies). I might pick up Eye of the North, but not sure if I should because I'm not far at all in the original campaign and doesn't a lot of the original world from the Prophecies game get destroyed or something? So if I activated the Eye of the North expansion, I wouldn't have access to these areas, would I?

i picked up NightFall's Collector Edition at CurseitCity for $8.48 :p
- even though i am dial-up - 228K - it plays very well and there is quite a *crowd* of friendly people who are quite helpful to a MMORPG n00b like myself

unfortunately my personal life is in disarray, so i won't be joining a guild yet as my sessions can be 10 minutes or an hour or two ... so there is always "soloing" with NPCs .. i just started and i am quite impressed with it

i really don't know how each expansion relates to each other .. but so far, it is interesting ... and a great value for $8.50

Eye of the north is a good investment if you play the game by yourself a lot. You get customizable heroes to help you fill up the party. At level 11 you've just really only started the game, there's many hours left.

I've been playing from the start and now after 9 characters, I'm starting to get tired. there's are just a few more goals I'm trying but they'll probably take months to finish. trouble I have is finding those that are playing at the same pace as me. The guild I'm in is a very casual PvE guild so it lacks the numbers of other guilds. The game is good in the fact that even if I only have a few minutes to play I can hop on and do a small quest or some farming.

I've play-ed it extensively during prophecies, factions and a little bit of nightfall. PvP-ing was my thing though, interaction with other people was what made it fun for me. As a pretty decent PvP-er, and GvG-er ( many top 10-20 guilds ) I would quickly get annoyed with noobs or just people who sabotaged missions on purpose. Later on when the first players started quitting, it simply wasn't the same anymore, because of some tweaks they made, the fact that some pvp 'builds' were just really lame to play, and well, because all familiar people left, the interaction was gone... In the end, it's a pretty good game, I played it many hours before I got into pvp-ing and gvg-ing, and I used to do underworld for ectoplasms as well.

I'm still playing Guild Wars, have all 4. I'd be more than happy to play with anyone on here. Look me up, my ign is: Cara M Sith. Feel free to whisper me in game if you need help or a guild to join, just tell me you're from AT. The guild I'm in is small and new, but very friendly and helpful. I play mostly PvE and occasionally do the alliance battles in Factions.

I tried playing it for about a month.. a long time ago.. but just couldn't get into the game [I'm a Wow-addict]. So, I gave it to my son [16] and that's all he plays. Depending how GW2 looks, I may get a few copies just so I can hack-n-slash with him every now and then... :)

I've had it over two years and still only have 2 level 9 characters.
If it were single player, offline, and you could fill the party with Bots, I would like it more.
I needed a good filler after I got tired of Dungeon Siege, and Dungeon Siege 2 wasnt it.

I like the birthday gifts though. I got a gay-ass troll and an even gayer unicorn. Fun.

EDIT: Its good they sold 5 million copies.
Proof that you can have a succesful online game and not rape people for 20 bucks a month.
