Guide Plus question for AIW 9700pro

I just purchased an AIW 9700pro out of the Forums and I have been looking for the guide plus+ option in the MMC but can find nothing. Is it installed with the MMC software? The person who had the card didn't have the original install disc that came with it and I really would like to have this feature. Does anyone know if it is downloadable? or do i NEED the original disc?

TIA!!!

I would also like to know this. I have a AIW 9600Pro and the box said it had guideplus, but it's not included as its own program on the disc and it's not available for download as far as I can tell.

Its not available for download, and it is included with every AIW card installation disk.

Look for gemstar on the install disk.

Thanks rbV5, it actually is on the install disc. Mine was on the "catalyst" install disc and you had to choose to install the catalyst software, then during setup choose custom and it would give you a list of options on what to install. Gemstar was in there.

Well i ended up finding it on an older Sapphire install disc I had from my original 7500, there was a folder on there labeled Gemstar and it installed fine by just suing the .exe file in the folder.

I do have one question though. Do those of you who have it lose your pointer when you move it over the guide?

yeah, i get that symptom sometimes too with the pointer being lost. Then, it appears again. When the pointer got lost, i hit ctrl-alt-delete, and it showed up that gemstar was not responding. try rebooting i guess, or reinstalling, it gets really annoying not having the pointer, but u learn to cope with it

matrixwalker,

thanks... mine seems to stay for a second and then it is just gone.. no bringing it back.. no biggie.. I can still click and see things i just can't see where the mouse is..LOL

Have a good one!
