GUID: Pronounced "goo-id" or "gwid"?

Co worker says its "gwid" and showed me a site that shows that pronunciation. I told him i learned it as "goo-id" and also found sites that supported my pronunciation. Anyone know the definitive MS pronunciation?

lol i just realized your title is "pics?". Well i suppose if MS developers say it like that, that's probably correct. Btw, how was working for MS? Was it a good company to work for?

I actually had a debate about this on a mailing list one time... a lot of developers and programmers on it (though not necessarily MS... GUID is not only an MS term), and "goo-ied" was what was voted upon as correct pronunciation. I believe that CR has simply made it a bit more... proper?

isn't "GUID" the term that MS came up with when the rest of the industry was using UUID?
