GUI in AS400?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to install some java based software onto an AS400 box, but when I try it says something about needing a GUI in it. I know I can get this software to install on a unix system if I just have x windows loaded up, but it doesn't wanna go on my as400 box. Any ideas?

Basically, what is the equivalent to xwindows for an as400 box.

There isn't one.

There are gui based tools that will connect to one though. IBM usually recommends Client Access Express I think.

Haha, a 3270 terminal emulator and all those wonderfull wonderfull menus are not good enough for you?

Gui on a AS400.... Geez

You could probably install Debian linux on a IPCS and there is a chance you could get X to run on that, but I doubt that's anywere close to what you want.
