that guy is Alexey Pajitnov, and he deserves to work anywhere he wants to... Poor guy created the game we all have played and didnt get any $$ for it since he was working for the U.S.S.R. at the time, he tried to make some money off "wetris" and some other similar games which didnt fare too well from what i understand

Aparently, when the first copyright thing ran out in `96, he got a few thoused dollers in royalties, but nowhere near what he would have got if i didnt live in the USSR at the time.

Well, starting on the 23rd of this month, my friend will.

*cough*sell out*cough*

I edited that for ya, because I have no grasp of the situation at all, and like thinking I know more about your friends than you do, without ever meeting them.

I edited it for you, seeing as how he has stated he doesnt like their products, and the only reason he took the job is the $$ and the resume builder. He flat out told one of our mutual friends in a phone call "I sold out, I'm going to work for Microsoft." That is an exact quote.

Or do you have some more inside information you wish to share? Maybe you know better than both me, and the guy I am talking about?

Man, I have no sense of humor. I should really chill out!

I cleaned that up for ya again. Get a grip man, you have no sense of humor. Most people who call their friends sell-outs for taking a job at a big firm like MS couldn't get past a phone screen. I was playing the odds.

And again, if you think I was seriously saying something about you or your friends, then you have serious issues sorting out ATOT neffery from reality.

He was probably joking. No matter how someone feels about them, it's got to be a great starting job...

I have a sense of humor, I just get annoyed when people decide that they know something better than I do, despite having no actual knowledge of the people involved. Once I finish up my CIS degree in another couple semesters, I think I could get past the phone screen, but I dont know if I would want to work for MS or not, depends on which department and what I would be doing. Frankly, if I did, I wouldnt be as bad as him, since he was really into Linux, etc, whereas I just dabble in it.

Honestly, if I were you I might have thought the same as you, I just think (hope) I would have either made a funnier comment or not made one at all.

It is a good job, and a great starter job. But he was one of those guys who are very into Linux and converting people to using it, and thus he was fairly serious when he said he had sold out.
