Still using my 9 year old G4...installed a CPU upgrade and Leopard is running nice.

Apple haters are funny.

No. But Leopard comes with Bootcamp installed by default so I promptly install XP on all the ones that pass through my office.

The MacBook Pro is an extremely rock-solid structure of hardware for a reasonable price. I personally dislike the majority of the Mac OS (albeit based primarily on Windows familiarity than anything else which I could undoubtedly get over if I had the motivation - which I currently do not) so I still stick to windows.

My current 15" MBP running XPSP2 is the most solid notebook I have ever owned.

I got leopard last week and haven't had any problems so far. It's hyped up for sure, and doesn't bring too much new stuff to the table, but it works well. There are some neat features.

In my experience so far Leopard is a $140 shiny box with a big X on it. Maybe it will redeem itself, maybe not, but so far it's got me scratching my head a bit wondering why I bothered.

Because apple has you believing that you MUST upgrade or you will no longer be hip or allowed to drive a Mini or VW and you will have to turn in your sandals. They want you to buy the same OS 5 times. just because of a small change. At least Microsoft, the "money grubbing whores" will release and OS and supply users with FREE updates and changes for years.

Apple doesn't suck per se...it's just been overrated and overhyped.

Apple as a company seems to be getting more and more arrogant as their marketshare rises. iPhone price drop and iBricking, anyone?
