OK, Apple fans, it's time to take a guess as to what will be announced at WWDC tomorrow.

Here are my "sure thing" guesses:

iPhone 6 - WRONG
Mac OS 10.10 - RIGHT!
iOS 8 - RIGHT AGAIN!
An upgrade to the iMac - ???
Some new iLife products - Right, kinda

And my long shot pick... an announcement of a previously unknown wearable device like an "iWatch". It probably won't be available until Christmas, though.

It's WWDC, not a product conference. Expect OS news and that's it.

Wrong. They have usually made product announcements at past conferences. These include the Retina Macbook Pros and Mac Pro most recently.

Yeah... the cat of out of the bag on the iPhone 6. They might as well announce it now, even if it isn't available until August.

They won't release the iPhone 6 until august or september. Here is what I think is likely:

iOS 8 announcement
OSX 10.10 announcement (or equivalent nomenclature)
Macbook Pro Refresh

Long shot: 12" iPad Pro

Things I guarantee you won't see: iPhone 6. "Retina" MBA. Surface Pro 3 Equivalent (exception being iPad Pro)

Edit: Would like to add that i agree that an iMac upgrade is guaranteed. I life also likely.

I would be so happy if they released a mac equivalent to the Surface Pro 3. It would be a huge coup for MS to take that segment first (full function/power large tablet) and Apple has the DPI scaling to do it. Sad that the pen resolution is only 256 and if apple could produce a professional Haswell-U or A8 tablet with equivalent features on a touch-enabled OSX it would be awesome.

The iPhone gets its own event every year.

There will be Mac OS X 10.10 and a new Mac to go along with it and possibly iOS 8.

If there are any hardware announcements, they'll probably all be Mac related. Apple has been pushing their iOS line to a fall launch schedule in recent years.

Likely
-Mac OS X 10.10 gets announced for a fall launch, move to annual Mac OS releases. OS X to remain free for the life of the computer.
-iLife, iWork, and other consumer apps get a refresh
-iOS 8 gets teased
-Health and wellness app for iOS gets announced

Maybe pile
-iMacs, MacBooks get a speed bump
-Mac Mini finally gets upgraded to Haswell
-Apple TV gets a refresh
-Retina MBA
-Pro apps (Final Cut, Aperture, etc) get a refresh
-A new Apple A8 processor gets teased
-iCloud gets improved to better compete with Skydrive and Google

Unlikely
-Any iDevice hardware announcements
-Apple TV gets app capability to compete with Amazon and Google's new devices.
-Apple announces a subscription based streaming video service
-iPod Classic finally gets killed
-A new product gets announced, including the rumoured iWatch
-A quad core Apple A8 is announced

I just can't see the iPhone being announced. The only reason why is to give developers a chance to get apps ready for the different size but Apple didn't do it when they moved to 4" so don't see why they would now. They will wait until the fall as they have for a while now.

If any hardware is announced I can't see anything more than speed bumps. The mini is long overdue though so they may surprise us there.

I think it's going to be your usual OS updates.

Hasn't Mac OS been annual for a while now?

Unofficially yes, since Lion. They used to be released every two years prior to that. I think it's going to be official policy from now on, along with free upgrades. Mavericks was the first version of OS X to be offered free of charge to all current owners of compatible systems.

Which is smart. It probably costs almost as much to support 2-3 OS than just 1 free one.

There will be more than just a generic refresh and OS news. I'm sure they've got SOMETHING interesting.

My guess stays with some sort of iPad pro running iOS 8 because of some weird ideological influence of Jobs from 2009. As if jobs wouldn't change his mind if the market changed.

what about a watch or other wearable? iWatch rumors are out there and it would be a logical place for all this sapphire to be going

I heard they were working that into the iPhone 6 screen. I highly doubt they'll release a watch in 2014. Personally I think the idea of an I watch is ill conceived.

I'm thinking that they might announce the iPhone 6 early this year. It's supposedly already in production (if you believe that those Chinese spy photos are real), and Apple would love to put a dent in Samsung's Galaxy S5 sales as soon as possible.

iOS 8, with a LOT of emphasis being put on the Healthbook app + maybe some indication of new phone hardware to support it.

I am a diehard Apple fan, but if iOS 8 doesn't include Widgets or some form or real customization, I am going to buy a Nexus 5 and call it a day.

I am sick of iOS already - they need to do something with it.

i'm expecting the usual with regards to software. Maintenace release, some features added, nothing really new and exciting for the most part.

And Haswell speed bumps for iMac's and MB's. Definitely no iOS devices. If an iOS device does get announced, it's a cheaper version of something existing. Like the 8GB 5C being released WW or something.

Ugh, Apple needs to just do away with the 8GB and 16GB iPhones and iPads already. It's not enough storage. Especially if you're using it for video. You don't see too many top end Android devices below 32GB now, and if you do they have a microSD slot to expand storage.

I think the threat of the S5 is greatly diminished vs compared to what the iPhone 5 competed with in the galaxy S3 and S4. The S5 is just one of some 4 or 5 top of the line android phones that boast 5"+ screens.

Apple has little to worry about. If they release what's pictured even in September people will go nuts. 6mm thin??? That's as thin as phone can get without starting to feel like a card.

New iMacs on the table being used at WWDC. Have same finish as new MacBook Pro and look very sleek. Edges no more than 12mm
