Some people like to excuse their behavior by saying: "Oh, I was drunk."
Guess what? That's still you--it's no excuse.
Sound familiar/comments?

They're not.

so you are implying that when i am drunk i am still "me" so that would mean i'd be me, but if i was me i'd be drunk then in turn i'd be me :)

Alcohol lowers your inhibitions, but much like hypnotism, I don't think it can make you do something that you weren't already willing to do. Unless of course you get so drunk that you pass out and someone has sex with you while your'e sleeping or something, that's not really your fault (it's also rape)

Being drunk lowers your inhibitions (whether you realize it or not) and therefor makes you more likely to say and do things you wanted to do in the first place.

Thankfully, the liberals haven't been able to use drunkeness as a defense in court... yet.

Uh...Ok. You still have to live with the consequences I agree...but you can't say you act the same...

It's a weak weak excuse.

I've been solidy ripped many times, and I've never done anything really stupid (besides the being drunk itself that is).

When you are drunk, you are more likely to do things that you want to do, but when you are sober you think better of.

Being Drunk isn't going to make you suddenly become a psychopathic killer if you didn't have homocidal tendancies already.

Maybe you supress your stupidity better sober, but it's still there. Being drunk is a weak excuse.

It's a great excuse. Especially if you're going after some guy's girlfriend or sister.

I didn't score as high in Quake.
I was talking a little loud.
I was laughing a lot and being silly.
I fell off my skateboard.
I spilled my beer.
I had to take a taxi.
I sucked at darts.
I hit on that girl.

"Oh, I was drunk."

See? It works!

You've got that right! There's got to be somebody we can sue here...
