I find that commercial really bizarre - it's openly insulting to the buyers of the existing model, and can't be helpful to the loyal Chevy dealers that still have dozens of the old car sitting on their lots.

You know what would be pretty funny though...if they had a commercial with George Washington in full up colonial gear. He's looking majestic and he's standing with one knee up like in that famous boat painting or the Captain Morgan commercials. A soldier appears off camera and says "They outnumber us two to one General Washington!" and Washington just nods and says "Oh, do they?"

Then the camera pans out on the stern and powerful image of George Washington and...he's standing in the back of a brand new Silverado. And he draws his sword and yells "Charge!" and the truck guns it it. Its surrounded by revolutionary soldiers charging with banonets at a bunch british and the truck is right there with them. And then there's some tag line about America, you can fill it in. That would be hilarious.

On a side note, it's actually quite a nice truck. The interior actually seemed Euro and not made out of plastic bag plastic and the design of the truck also looks good.

I do like the look of the new colorodo. Managed to keep the boxy truck like design while still giving it more a streamlined look. Best new model asthetically I've seen. That new tacoma just looks like shit to me, they went way to wild with the lines on it. Plus I can't even tell the different between so called compact trucks and a full size anymore because compact trucks have gotten so big.
