This is what bugs me about rap, it's not that musically there's not much there, it's the fact that it perpetuates young people live a lifestyle that involves shooting up anyone who pisses you off or "disrespects" you. I know all music isn't gonna be about love, heartbreak, and broken dreams ans broken trucks but encouraging killing people is just wrong IMHO..

You've never fucking listened to 2pac before and are regurgitating stereotypes you heard on Fox News.

Sure I have, about 40 seconds worth in the provided link, but would it matter if I listened to more? the "lyrics" if you want to call them that were quoted and posted in full, so here's a small tidbit,

"Thug Life, niggaz betta be known, we approachin
in the wide open, guns smokin
no need for hopin its a battle lost, I got em crossed
Soon as the funk is poppin off
awesome dude I hit em up"

Now as I mentioned, weather rap is a "genre" one likes or not is irrelevant, if your selling music like this, perpetuating and popularizing a lifestyle in which someone's life is to be chewed up and consumed like a piece of gum then young people will follow in suit, more people found dead, parents and communities grieving because some assholes thought it would be cool to "push the envelope" into hardcore "I'll fucking kill you" music. No, Gangster rap didn't create the struggles of modern urban life but selling these worthless ideals to young kids so you can be a millionaire ASAP is just wrong IMHO..
