No, but given the nature of your question, I figured it was something absurdly low. If I had clicked on the link and it said "Oh, it's 90% like you probably thought", I'd have been disappointed.

I think you spoiled it with your lead-in. I would normally think that it would be a high percentage.

I make my own which is about 90 - 95%, the rest is some sour cream, herbs, and spices.

Labeling something with 2% as guacamole is ridiculous.

Yea; basically you are saying guess the % of Avacado in Guacamole (it's not what you would expect).

"We think customers understand that it isn't made from avocado," Claire Regan, Kraft Foods' vice president of corporate affairs, told the Los Angeles Times. "All of the ingredients are listed on the label for consumers to reference."

no crap sherlock.

Just like one shouldn't expect to buy "instant beef!" to magically turn into a cow.

Guacamole, by definition, is an avocado dip. 2% avocado is not guacamole. If you expect it to be 2% avocado, you must be extremely cynical.

I answered before I reallyread the question and the article. I just thought you meant in guacamole in general. That's pretty shocking. I never would have known without reading the label.

My recipe for two avocados is 1/4 of a lime squeezed. So four would be 1/2 of a lime and on up, plus salt to taste. Then you can add whatever you want to your liking. Mine is most commonly diced onions, tomatoes, cilantro and jalapeno.

I've never heard of using lemon in guacamole before though.

yeah kinda of like imitation crab meat says on the thing "imitation crab contains less than 1% crab". That crap is imitation guacamole.
