guess I will toss my hat in for Team Anandtech: UD

I added three machines, a 1.2Ghz Duron, a 1.6Ghz Palomino and a 1.3Ghz Duron for the UD Cancer Research team.
Hope it helps.

how are we doing ? looks like #17 in results returned and #11 for yesterday (results returned)

i currently run UD on one athlon 850 and am #163 on the team (total points)

dang , there are quite a few active people on this project considering the tiny amount of posts/threads about it

well over 100 people returned results in the past week

Yar that sounds about right.
I just figured we have a group of machines here with plenty of power and at best they are running excel 🙂
So might as well put it to good use, who knows, maybe this wacky project will work and they will find the cure they are looking for? 🙂
One can only hope.

Anyway, I will most likely run it on my 1.87Ghz Palomino at home too. 🙂

We're a quiet bunch, occasionally we start trying to make more noise, but then life gets busy....

Glad to have you aboard the team Balthazar! 🙂 You should move up the ranks at a fast clip with that much power crunching! 😀:Q😉

Added another 1.5Ghz Athlon machine to the roster. 🙂
So:
1.2Ghz Duron
1.3Ghz Duron
1.5Ghz Athlon
1.6Ghz Athlon
Soon to be 1.87Ghz Athlon

My 7.47ghz contribution.

#17 isn't good enough! 🙂

WooHoo! Thats a nice addition for the TeAm! 😀

I already PM'ed some people about it, but I'm currently making a stats page for UD. Today I'll post some screenshots of a very very early release 🙂
It's not near from what I expect it to become, but It already has some fuctionality.. It's not online yet!

Balthasar, I just opened a thread about the stats page (maybe you've seen it?)
It's PHP/Mysql.. 🙂
I might use your help sometime! I'm a little bit of a beginner with them.. I do know all the basics about combining the two, but there's a lot for me to learn about php.
Thats why I also use Perl for extracting the numbers from the UD site.. Perl rocks!! 😀
If any questions, please post in my thread about it..
I know the UD team is very quite in these forums, but we can change that..

Yeah we're VERY quiet. I guess there's a reason for that. Of all the DC projects Anandtech has a hand in this one seems to require the least amount of effort on the users part, not that most of them are bad. But most people just put it on their system, let it do it's thing and don't worry about it. Since the stats system on this project is not consistent most of the people on this project don't seem quite as concerned with the points totals as the overall cause of the project.

That being said, I will give myself a little pat on the back. I knew I was in the team's top 20 within the last month or two, but apparently I'm closing in on a top 10 spot on the team now. I'm #14 in CPU time and #12 in points. Go me. 😀

Yeah, I quit crunching for RC5 awhile ago when I found out about UD. I figured my spare CPU cycles were going to waste when there was a much more worthwhile goal than simply cracking some encryption scheme simply for the sake of cracking it.

So far I have these machines in my own personal fleet:

1.9 GHz AMD Thoroughbred
1.8 GHz Intel Celeron Mobile
1.5 GHz AMD Palomino
1.3 GHz AMD Thunderbird
1.0 GHz AMD Morgan
700 MHz AMD Thunderbird

I'm hoping to pick up a couple good overlocking 1700+ or 2100+ T-Bred "B" cores that will do 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz and move all the AMD CPUs down the line and retire the 700 MHz T-Bird and 1.0 GHz Morgan. I'm currently in 37th place but would ultimately like to make it into the top 20. Hard to do, I know, but if I keep plugging away.... 🙂

Better be quick with the XP1700 Tbred 'B' ,apparently AMD have stopped making them & they are already thin on the ground

Good to see the UD team doing nicely🙂

*me notes defectors names for future intero..... talks*😉😉
