As long as text is not too blurry it's prolly still good for gaming. My friend has a 90's JVC that was soo fuzzy when connected by a composite cable. Bauldur's Gate was impossible to play because we couldn't read was it said. An S-Video cable for his PS2 helped ALOT. Everything was much sharper and the color was fantastic. The leaves actually looked real!!!!
 
My parents have a 19" SONY Trinitron TV that has to be older than 1988. Then again...hmmm...I will check the next time I go home.
